          Graphically sagging conductors to match the survey data and weather conditions at the time of survey

          Determining the number of spans having clearance discrepancies.

San Diego Gas & Electric-TL660 Encinitas-Del Mar 69-kV Line, Solano Beach Stub Pole Relocation

Worked on T-line Solano Beach Stub Pole Relocation

Prepared the Bases of Design for SDG&E to replace four (4) guyed wood poles with self supporting poles to eliminate the guys and guy stub requirements

 

The transmission line is an existing 69-kV single circuit with 12-kV under build and secondary services. Four (4) poles: Z24481 (41), Z24482 (42), Z24483 (43), AND Z24484 (44) are to be replaced and two (2) require the relocation or replacement of transformers to serve residences

 

NERC Mitigation Waves 14-20 (PG&E)

The scope of this project was to Mitigate the identified NERC discrepancies with PG&E required criteria which may require structure raises, facility modifications and/ or replacements.

§    Submitted the 30% Engineering Design and Constructability Review.

§    Submitted 60% review of the proposed mitigation (SOW) with the appropriate PG&E personnel, to update/revise and issue a final SOW.

§    Submitted 95% Design Review package and conduct a Design Review of the proposed mitigation (SOW) with the appropriate PG&E personnel.

§    Submitted IFC electronic Notification and hard copies of the IFC package, Updated PLS-CADD Model based on project scope document.

§    Generated a Tension Check Report (actual vs. design) for each span with a discrepancy.

§    Modified existing Structure Data Sheets to incorporate changes required to support the tower raises.

§    Provided bill of materials to PG&E for required hardware and assemblies (based on coordination with PG&E).

§    Provided necessary drawings for mark up of Caltrans Crossing / Safety Installation, incorporate field mark ups of drawing for submittal to Caltrans for crossing permit.

 

WARM SPRINGS EXTENSION Design-Build Line, Track, Station, and Systems

Worked on Upgrading Relay Protection for Carmichael (CAR) and Orangevale (OVL) 230/69 kV Transformer project: The scope included to prepare new AutoCAD drawings for "Insert Panel A", for  Transformer Bank #1 and Breaker 5930 Controls & Relay Protection (One Line Control & Relaying Drawing), AC Schematic Drawing, Protection Drawings (Differential & Over current), DC Control Elementary Diagrams for Transformer High side 230kV & Lo side 69kV, "Insert Panel A" Layout and Wiring Diagrams, including wiring to new RTU and Device Nameplate schedules    

Kyrgyzstan 

500 kV Transmission Line and Substation Single Line Diagram (USTDA funded project) - As a member of the project team Mr. Fawad developed substation single line diagrams using AutoCAD, version 2006and utilized Google Earth to develop a comprehensive GIS database to be integrated with the Utility management system.

City of Lodi 

60kV Transmission Line, Substation site selection and as-built Single Line Diagrams. As a member of the project team Mr. Fawad identified optimum alternatives for new substation site and transmission line relocation. Developed substation single line diagrams using AutoCAD, version 2006, and Google Earth to develop a comprehensive GIS database to be integrated with the Utility management system.

TID (Turlock Irrigation District) 

Verification of the power, signal and communication systems as- built and as-is construction and drawing update. As a member of the project team Ahmad performed site, system and facility walk-downs and red-lined drawings or develop sketches as necessary to document the as-built configuration. The scope included development and/or update drawings for fiber conduit and cable tray layouts, panels layouts, wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, schematic diagrams, sonnet equipment Diagrams, Jungle Mux Node assignment diagrams, wiring schedules, and conduit schedules.

 

 

San Mateo County Transit District Caltrans 

Digital Microwave Communication System. Ahmad prepared equipment and electrical room layout and schematic drawing for the new system. Developed equipment mechanical installation and telecommunication related designs and drawing.

Ahmad performed numerous automatic fare collection system tests in support of the BART Only Smart Card and TransLink (Clipper Card):
